How to check out fast at Target
Popular trading card products sell out at Target within 2–5 minutes of a restock, so the checkout has to be ready before the alert arrives. This is the routine that works.
Before the drop
- Stay signed in to your Target account with payment and shipping saved; the whole checkout should take under a minute.
- Watch the exact product in RestockR with Auto-Open on, so the product page opens the moment it restocks.
- Keep the Target app handy: it sometimes shows stock a little before the website does.
Checkout, step by step
- Open the product page from the alert.
- Pick the quantity you want.
- Press Add to Cart, not Buy Now.
- Open the cart.
- Check that payment and shipping are right, then press Place Order.
- Hold Enter through any prompts until the confirmation appears.
If the cart says "high demand"
Target holds shoppers out of the cart when a product is selling fast. Press Enter, open the cart again, and repeat until it lets you in; it usually does within a few tries.
Purchase limits
Target often limits high-demand trading cards to 1–2 per customer online. Buy what the limit allows on the first pass rather than going back for more.
Online and in store
Some products go to Target stores and not the website, or the other way around. This page counts online restocks; RestockR's in-store alerts cover stock reports from thousands of locations, so set your ZIP code and radius in the app to hear about stores near you.
