What a restock is

RestockR watches retailer product pages around the clock and alerts members the moment a product becomes buyable. Each alert is logged. A restock on these pages is a product coming back in stock, counted once per drop: a listing that flickers in and out pings many times, so detections of the same product at the same retailer within six hours (24 hours at Amazon, whose listings flicker most) are one restock.

Queue openings (Walmart, Pokémon Center), marketplace sellers on a retailer's site, and Target's trickles of one to seven units are recorded but kept out of the counts, because none of them is stock a shopper can act on.

Online retailers

Target, Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, Pokémon Center, Costco, Sam's Club, GameStop, Premium Bandai, Scheels, Kohl's, Macy's, Crunchyroll, BoxLunch, Menards, Books-A-Million, Ravensburger and Riot Games appear when they have recorded restocks. A retailer gets its own page for a game once it has ten or more restocks in 90 days. The record starts on 22 January 2026; nothing older survives.

In-store

Shelf restocks come from RestockR's store-level stock record for Dollar General, Walgreens, CVS, Best Buy, Academy Sports + Outdoors and Ace Hardware. An in-store restock is a store's shelf count going from zero to in stock; a confirmed sell-out is the reverse. Target and Walmart stores are not part of this record. Metro pages cover stores within a fixed radius of the principal city, named on each page.

Sell-out times

After an alert, RestockR re-checks the product every 20 seconds for 20 minutes through its own infrastructure and records the first read at which it had gone out of stock, confirmed by a second. A sell-out is only reported when the product was first seen in stock from the same vantage. Retailers that cannot be read reliably show "not measured"; nothing is estimated or extrapolated.

Prices

Prices are what the retailer listed at the time of each detection. "Usual" is the median listed price in the window shown. RestockR does not track resale prices.

What is delayed

Restocks newer than 24 hours are counted but shown without an exact time. Members receive every alert in about 0.3 seconds; the public record follows one day behind.

Times and updates

All times are US Eastern. Pages rebuild from the record every 15 minutes. Sitemaps carry a last-modified date per page.
